Scan volume in a busy radiology department is a numbers game, and the Samsung RS85 is built to move through studies efficiently without compromising on image quality. The RS85 is Samsung Medison's flagship general radiology cart system, a premium platform with S-Vision imaging technology, an AI-assisted workflow engine, and a broad probe library that covers abdominal, vascular, breast, superficial, and musculoskeletal imaging from a single console. New RS85 units typically price from $120,000 to $180,000 depending on configuration, placing them solidly within our standard financing program and comfortably within application-only processing territory.

Radiology groups evaluating the RS85 usually arrive through one of two paths: upgrading an aging general imaging platform or adding a second premium cart to handle increased volume without extending the schedule. Both cases map cleanly to our financing program. We structure term loans, fair market value leases, and $1 buyout leases on the RS85, and we fund new and used units with the same process. The full Samsung Medison lineup is financeable through our program, so groups that also need an OB-specific platform can compare the Samsung HERA W10 alongside the RS85 and structure both in a single transaction if needed.

Questions About Samsung RS85 Financing

Review the common timing, documentation, and equipment questions before sending the quote.

Can I finance the RS85 and the HERA W10 in the same transaction?

Yes. A combined RS85 and HERA W10 package is a single financed amount with one approval decision. The combined total will be well above our minimum, and a multi-system transaction from the same manufacturer and dealer often moves more efficiently through dealer documentation. We structure the monthly payment on the full package.

My radiology group has a corporate structure with multiple physician owners. How does that affect the application?

Multi-owner practices apply under the corporate entity. We typically request personal guarantees from each owner above a threshold ownership percentage, which the lender specifies in the term sheet. The corporate application and each guarantor's personal credit profile are reviewed together. Multi-physician group practices generally have strong aggregate credit profiles and approve readily.

The RS85 I am looking at is two years old but has had service contract coverage throughout. Does that improve the financing terms?

Continuous service contract coverage is a positive underwriting signal. It indicates the system has been maintained by authorized technicians and that any issues were addressed rather than deferred. We note it in the deal file. It does not change the interest rate directly, but it supports the collateral assessment and reduces the lender's concern about hidden maintenance needs.

Can I roll in an extended warranty on the RS85 into the financing?

Yes. Extended service contracts purchased at the time of equipment acquisition can be included in the financed amount. The service contract becomes part of the total financed package with a single monthly payment covering both the equipment and the coverage. We cannot add a service contract to an existing loan after closing; it needs to be included at origination.

How does the RS85's elastography capability affect its use as loan collateral?

Feature-richness generally supports collateral value because it expands the pool of buyers in a future resale scenario. An RS85 with full elastography is more marketable on the secondary market than a system with fewer capabilities, which gives the lender better recovery prospects if the loan were to go into default. This is one reason well-configured RS85 units tend to get favorable advance rates relative to the purchase price.
