The Siemens Healthineers Acuson platform has a long track record in academic medical centers and high-volume radiology departments, and that reputation carries over to how the secondary market values these systems. For buyers financing a new or pre-owned Acuson, that market durability is a real asset: lenders are comfortable with longer terms because the collateral holds its value.

The Siemens Acuson lineup spans from flagship systems like the Acuson Sequoia, a top-tier cart with BioAcoustic imaging and ultra-widening bandwidth transducers, down to the Acuson Juniper and Acuson Redwood, which bring premium imaging capability to mid-market practices and point-of-care settings. The Acuson S3000 and S2000 remain popular pre-owned platforms for practices that need capable multi-specialty imaging without the premium price.

Our transaction minimum is $50,000 and there is no ceiling that applies across the board. A single Acuson Sequoia with a full transducer package and installation support is typically a $200,000 to $320,000 purchase. Pre-owned S3000 and S2000 units from reputable refurbishers generally price between $60,000 and $130,000 depending on vintage, software version, and probe set.

Questions About Siemens Healthineers Financing

Review the common timing, documentation, and equipment questions before sending the quote.

Can I finance a Siemens Acuson S2000 that a hospital is selling off?

Yes. Hospital-liquidation purchases are common and fully eligible. We need the purchase agreement, the system's service history or last PM record, and confirmation the system is lien-free. Siemens service records are usually straightforward to obtain from the selling facility.

Does the vintage of an Acuson S2000 affect the financing terms?

Age and software version both factor in. A 2017 S2000 in good condition with a current software release gets better terms than a 2012 unit approaching end-of-support. We look at whether Siemens still supports the platform with parts and software, which affects useful life and therefore maximum term.

Can a vascular lab finance an Acuson system plus a vascular reporting workstation together?

Yes. If the reporting workstation is being purchased at the same time, we can include it in the same instrument. The workstation needs to be new or from a vendor with a documented warranty. Total transaction amount still needs to meet the $50,000 minimum.

We have a lease on a Siemens system expiring in six months. How do we time a new purchase?

Six months is plenty of lead time. We can structure the new loan or lease to start at the expiration of the existing one, or we can close earlier and overlap for a short period. We work with the timing that fits your budget cycle.

Is a sale-leaseback available on a Siemens Acuson Sequoia we purchased two years ago?

Yes, if the system is free of liens or has enough equity above the payoff. A two-year-old Sequoia retains most of its value. We would look at a current market appraisal, determine the lendable amount, and structure the leaseback with monthly payments and a term that matches your cash flow.
