Clarius Financing

Finance Clarius handheld wireless ultrasound scanners including the HD3. Equipment financing for point-of-care programs, specialty practices, and multi-location clinics.

Quote My System

The Clarius scanner puts a diagnostic-quality probe in a device about the size of a deck of cards, with no tethered device required beyond a smartphone or tablet that any clinician already carries. That simplicity is deliberate, and it is what distinguishes Clarius from the traditional ultrasound market: no cart, no cart purchase, no installation, no proprietary display. Just the probe and a connected device running the Clarius app.

The Clarius HD3 is the current-generation premium scanner, using a high-density transducer array and processing entirely within the probe itself. The HD3 line includes multiple probe configurations for different clinical applications: high-frequency linear transducers for superficial and vascular work, curved array probes for abdominal and OB, and phased array options for cardiac and lung imaging. Each probe is a separate purchase.

Financing Clarius equipment follows the same minimum-transaction rule as the rest of our programs: $50,000. An individual Clarius HD3 probe at roughly $3,000 to $7,000 per unit at list does not reach that threshold alone. The qualifying transactions are fleet purchases for multi-provider practices or health systems, bundled programs that include probes plus enterprise subscriptions and training, or specialty practices acquiring multiple probe types across a clinical team.

Questions About Clarius Financing

Review the common timing, documentation, and equipment questions before sending the quote.

Can we finance a Clarius program for a practice that has been open for less than a year?

Startup or early-stage practices can qualify, though the documentation is more detailed. We look at personal credit of the guarantors, projected patient volume, and the business plan. Approval is possible but terms may differ from those for an established practice. Startups with strong personal credit profiles and credible revenue projections have the best path.

Do Clarius probes qualify as equipment collateral for a standard equipment loan?

Yes, the probes themselves are equipment with serial numbers and verifiable market value. The secondary market for Clarius probes is thinner than for traditional cart-based ultrasound, which affects how lenders view collateral. For most transactions, the institutional credit of the borrower carries more weight than probe-level collateral.

We already own several Clarius probes and want to add more. Can we do a new loan for just the additions?

Yes, as long as the new purchase reaches the $50,000 minimum. Adding probes later is a separate transaction from the original purchase. There is no requirement to consolidate with prior financing.

How does Clarius subscription pricing affect the total financed amount?

If you are financing a multi-year subscription prepaid upfront, that amount can often be included in the loan. Annual subscriptions paid year-by-year are typically not included in an equipment loan; they are an operating expense paid directly. Let us know which subscription structure Clarius is quoting and we will structure accordingly.

Is an FMV lease available for a Clarius program?

Yes. A fair market value lease is available if you prefer lower monthly payments and the option to upgrade at lease end. For Clarius probes, where the technology generation may advance meaningfully in three to five years, an FMV lease gives you the flexibility to step to the next HD generation without owning a device that has been passed by.
